Notes From the End of a Very Long Life
January 10, 2022
John Leland’s last installment in the New York Times series on the very elderly affirms the work we do daily at Riverstone Senior Life Services, an organization serving residents of Washington Heights. Our programs encompass social services, meals and stimulating activities as well as special support for adults experiencing memory loss. We were proud to honor John at our 2019 Gala. He captures the need for caring connections to offset the isolation the elderly often experience. As John expresses so clearly, during the pandemic, seniors need our compassion and contact more than ever.
